Poetry: The Nocturne by Neveen Badr

Introducing my imagination through verse Poetry. Imagination is a vassal of terrifying beliefs for it's a joy to animate thoughts into words. I have written this poem between 2006 and 2008.

The Nocturne

p.1

The Nocturne

Listen to the nocturne's voice around me

Softly it is entering me

Softly as the music should be--He is singing there

And I felt his music Inside of me

Oh, Dear, I am so soft What the music did

Is vast and happy

Oh, nocturne do not stop singing

p.2

Please sing another song for thee

Because it made me see

New things around me

Oh, Nocturne not to leave too soon

Stay a while, and perform new words of dreams

New impressions I have never seen

Oh, please nocturne sing and sing for me

Let me drown so deep

In your music and I will not fall in that ocean

I swear I will not sleep

Your voice will help my soul to stay

Oh, nocturne you made me see the moon

Oh, how it is so lovely

Oh, the pretty moon

p.3

Dressing the world in silver How sweet

Sing again nocturne

Oh, sing and let the world believe again in beauty

Oh, Nocturne I can feel

For the first time, I can breathe

Love, passion, hope and so much to see and so much to see

Oh, Nocturne I became so dreamy but is it me the one who is dreaming all These beautiful dreams I cannot believe, music did That to me

Oh, nocturne sing and sing

p.4

Forever, for me and for the world Just make it happily

Oh, nocturne you are so sweet

I know you will sing more for peace

Spread it everywhere here and there

Oh, Nocturne I know you will do

And I know that You will sing forever for me
